Americana Music Association : Nashville, TN : Sept. 19th : The Basement : Indie Blog Showcase

Indie Blog Showcase poster

I've been talking about Monolith so much, but I don't want you Midwesterners to forget about the 9th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, this coming September 17-20, 2008 in Nashville TN. My Old Kentucky Blog, Aquarium Drunkard and Thirty Tigers will be hosting their first ever "indie showcase" together. We've got a sweet new poster to prove it!

The showcase will feature Jason Isbell, O'Death, Those Darlins, Le Switch & Blair and will be at The Basement on Friday, September 19th.

Also...A daytime panel featuring My Old Kentucky Blog, Aquarium Drunkard, Amanda Petrusich (New York Times, Pitchfork, Paste) and Janet Timmons of Nashville’s Out the Other will take a multifaceted look at blogs: Who’s reading them? Who is writing them? How do Americana bands reach them?

O'Death is about to release their latest long-player, Broken Hymns, Limbs and Skin on October 28th through Kemado Records.

Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit - Oufit
O'Death - Down To Rest
O'Death - Adelita
O'Death - Busted Old Church
Those Darlins - Wild One
Those Darlins - Tom Dooley (Live at The 5 Spot)
Le Switch - Hard Talkin'
Blair - Mona Lisa

Blair - Jesus (Velvet Underground Cover)

Also: Stay through the weekend and see Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, Christopher Denny and Ben Kweller perform at The Basement the following night! VIEW ALL THE SHOWCASES!
